UAP vs. UFO
I rather like the idea of UFO meaning something that's flying and therefore has some sort of intelligence. This suggest that atmospheric phenomenon, psychological phenomenon, quantum manifestations, pranks, miracles, etc are all UAPs not UFOs. Once we pass that gap we hit UFO. Which is still a large set of unknowns. Hrm. I like it.
